He is from a village called Ukpom Usong Ubom in Ikono Local Government Area Of Akwa Ibom. Raised in Benin City Edo State, SirJoeMan plays the kind of song he call afro R&B which he sings in Pidgin-English sometimes combined with English
SirJoeMan makes music to express peace ,love and happiness. Growing up his main musical influences came from secular music and any good music . What motivates him to create his sounds is the challenging situations he comes across in his human experience in life.

Growing up in a challenging environment, music has been a calling and a way forward. He mainly finds inspiration in street life.Â

His story started in 1982 in Benin City, four years later he lost his dad and his mother moved him and his two brothers to her place in Imo state where he stayed there for about seven years. Afterwards moving to Akwa Ibom State for few years to return back to Benin City where he finished his SSCE and WAEC Examination. After that he went further to learn a Skil which was funiture making for three years.But that was not his dream but he was forced into it,After that he payed with couple of bands before he went into music production, making beats, mixing and mastering which we learned from his brother ucbanton.
